Lima Pavilion - 1

Curator Eliana Otto shows the work of Peruvians Juan Javier Salazar, Rodrigo Quijano and Japanese artist Ann Kaneko in her Lima pavilion. The pavilion is open from 7 November, 2009 until 3 January, 2010 in the Amsterdam Biennale at Mediamatic. Eliana Otto covered the outside of the pavilion with colorful drawings, newspaper prints and portraits of presidents.

Lima pavilion

- the styrofoam pavilion as a newspaper kiosk, the printed works hanging on the outside sustained by little hangers from thin nylon threads.
- serie of serigraphy made by a young artist using newspapers with local news and mixing it with images taken from cartoons we watched in our childhood.
- a movie about artists in the political context of the last 15 years during Fujimori dictatorship.
- selection of peruvian video art.

Opening

- a dj set made with old peruvian vinyl records.
