I've been working for Mediamatic since August 2006. I produce all our new media, social media, (bio)-technology, Aquaponics and art- workshops, and in the recent past also Dev (Hacker) Camps. I also organise workshops connected to our exhibitions, trainings on social media, community management and fund raising for cultural, heritage-and governmental organisations, manage certain projects and sometimes curate a salon.
In 2006, 2007 and 2008 I co-produced MEDIA funded workshops on film- and documentary making with the open source tool Korsakow for IDFA, Cinekid, B3 Media in London and other national- and international institutes.
I need (and can't live without) music, books, New York, cult- and arthouse cinema, Berlin, Paris, Palais de Tokyo, (contemporary) art, photography, nature, forests, the sea, sleeping, hanging around (preferably with moscow mule's and nice people), Edamame's, animals (I don't eat them) and clean air (if this still exists).
I love artists, musicians and film makers, (not necessarily in this order): Steven Parrino, Gardar Eide Einarsson, Cory Arcangel, Banks Violette, Mark Rothko, Richard Serra, Tracey Emin, Morton Feldman, Hiroshi Teshigahara, John Adams, Haruki Murakami, Kenzaburo Oe, Kaneto Shindo, Paul Auster, Yoko Ogawa, Iannis Xenakis, Banana Yoshimoto, Andrei Tarkovsky, Kobo Abe, Yoshitomo Nara, Ryu Murakami, Bela Tarr, Merzbow, Sun Ra, Chris Marker, Allen Ginsberg, Guy Bourdin, David Lynch and many more. Old(er) ones, dead ones, but also new ones.
No life without music!
I adore Bret Easton Ellis (so why don't you ask him the most retarded question ever)?
Interview with Bret Easton Ellis. Recorded in Amsterdam on Friday September 17, 2010.
