I work for Mediamatic since August 2006. I produce and curate new media, technology and art-related workshops, Dev (Hacker) Camps and programs and workshops related to our exhibition program.
At the moment I'm working on the Mycelium project: Mushrooms vs. sustainability vs. new materials vs. bio-engineering vs. eco-culture.
Weird Science: Hollywood movie scenarios vs. art vs. science vs. reality.
Recent workshops themes: Creative use of RFID, Arduino, soldering robots and SMT, various programming languages, physical computing and innovative and creative combinations between these topics.
In 2006, 2007 and 2008 I co-produced MEDIA funded workshops on film-and documentary making with the open source tool Korsakow for IDFA, Cinekid, B3 Media in London and other national-and international institutes.
Although these things sound very geeky and niche (and I guess they are), I'm capable of organising any event or production needed.
I need (and can't life without) music, books, New York, cult- and arthouse cinema, London, Berlin, Paris, Palais de Tokyo, (contemporary) art, photography, nature, forests, the sea, sleeping, hanging around (preferably with moscow mule's and nice people), Edamame's, animals (I don't eat them) and clean air (if this still exists).
I love artists, musicians and film makers, (not necessarily in this order): Steven Parrino, Gardar Eide Einarsson, Cory Arcangel, Banks Violette, Mark Rothko, Richard Serra, Tracey Emin, Morton Feldman, Hiroshi Teshigahara, John Adams, Haruki Murakami, Kenzaburo Oe, Kaneto Shindo, Paul Auster, Yoko Ogawa, Iannis Xenakis, Banana Yoshimoto, Andrei Tarkovsky, Kobo Abe, Yoshitomo Nara, Ryu Murakami, Bela Tarr, Merzbow, Sun Ra, Chris Marker, Allen Ginsberg, Guy Bourdin, David Lynch and many more. Old(er) ones, dead ones, but also new ones.

Eternal love for Martin Dupont part II
John, you are marvelous
I adore Bret Easton Ellis (so why don't you ask him the most retarded question ever)?
Interview with Bret Easton Ellis. Recorded in Amsterdam on Friday September 17, 2010.
