During the opening there was a performance by artist Abner Preis called ‘Wizards, Giants and Elves’, Seamus Cater & Viljam Nybacka sang acoustic songs of Greenland and beyond, you could make eskimo-slippers, the Bardot Cinematheque was open and delicacies from Greenland were served. Music was by DJ Katja ‘Inuit Polar Bear’ Novi: Brigitte Bardot and Greenlandic tunes.

Seal meat is delicious

We ate seal meat in Tasiillaq, Greenland, last summer. A friend bought it from local hunters and prepared it for us. It's delicious, somewhat like stewed beef in taste.

Here's a picture:

Slightly misleading information in the Greenlandic news

Aluu Pipaluk (sumiuungavit?). I was there too, but was told the seal was only for invited people... A little misleading based on what was written in the Greenlandic newspapers.

Overall, I found it an interesting exhibition, and funny to see my old schoolmate being interviewed. A technical note though, I found that the music played was just a notch too high, to actually being able to hear the rather interesting movie-clips.
