Riding fixed gear is not like riding your regular bike. During this workshop you'll learn how to not make an ass of yourself. Keng Pereira will teach you the basics, plus some very special bike tricks, which will impress your friends as well as yourself.

What?

During this half-day workshop you'll learn how to ride a fixie. No worries if you don't own one: we have a couple of fixies here to practice on (with- and without brakes).

The trainer, experienced fixie rider Keng Pereira, will start from scratch. He'll show us some videos of himself and his friends, and then it's on to the basics. Everybody can participate, no matter how clumsy or awkward you think you are!

Our beautiful indoor track (designed by DUS architects) is at your complete disposal, and can be used and abused freely. After some basic practice we'll be taking the fixies outside. Keng will be by your side at all times, helping you if you need help, or just leaving you to it once you've got the hang of things.

After you and your fixie have got acquainted, you'll learn to do a track stand, and even a skid!
