Food is my passion. I especially like to cook for nice people and with nice people. The tastes from my kitchen never intimidate, they seduce in an adventurous manner.
In the early 90's, I founded the Illegal Kitchen with Guda Stoop and Susanne Oxenaar. After a few years of pop up cooking we settled in Amsterdam. We found a big empty space in the centre where we opened (sat 13 jan 1993) our restaurant, Supperclub.
I left Supperclub before the end of the century and pursued other goals.
At the Food Facility project of Marti Guiché at Mediamatic Post CS, I served my famous Love Croquettes as an acclaimed starter of the eclectic dining experience there.
The love croquettes were later developed into the "Chef Thor" Balls (bitterballen) that are now sold all over the Netherlands.
I now work as the Head Chef at Mediamatic Eten where I try to create experimental dishes with fermented foods, and where possible, only vegan ingredients. I took on this project as a new challenge to myself.
