Crowdsourcing visuals

This installation enables visitors to manipulate the visuals during an event. By sending text messages to a prescribed phone number, guests can add elements to the visuals they see on stage or around them. Glow sticks function as personal remote controls and are distributed among the visitors. An infrared camera registers the glow sticks' movements, which in turn cause the visuals to respond in a certain way.

Developed during Dev Camp 2010 at Mediamatic Bank, Amsterdam.
