Ms. Pac-Man, Midway, 1981

Perhaps the most simple and effective sequel ever. The design and drawings featuring on the oldest Ms. Pac-Man coin-ops are hand-painted. Later they switched to stickers, which wrongfully spread the rumour that the machines decorated with stickers were illegal or replicas.

Whereas her male predecessor had to make due with one type of labyrinth, misses Pac-Man finds herself being ambushed in four different mazes. The fruit that generates bonus points bounces freely back and forth over the entire screen, whereas the cherries, bananas and strawberries used to appear in fixed places.
