During the Arcade exhibition we are screening several movies and documentaries about games. We kick off with the documentary Tilt: the Battle to Save Pinball, which tells the story behind one of entertainment's most mysterious failures, the Pinball 2000. Other screenings in the coming weeks will be the Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3, King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, Chasing Ghosts: Beyond the Arcade and more.. Please RSVP.

Location: Mediamatic Bank, Vijzelstraat 68 Amsterdam. If you come before 19.00 a ticket costs €7,50,-. You can visit the exhibition, play all the games for free, enjoy a drink and watch the movie at 19.30. If you only want to see the movie, a ticket will set you back €5,- The documentary lasts 60 minutes. Find out more about the movie here.

This screening is part of Mediamatic's latest exhibition, Arcade: an expanding collection of old and new games and installations. Arcade is open until March 27th, 2011. On weekdays between 13.00 and 19.00 and on the weekend from 13.00 to 18.00. Exhibition space meets arcade. Come play with us.

visiting mediamatic for the arcade opening reminded me how much i love pinball; how many dollars i threw into the dr who, addams family, getaway, twilight zone pins while waiting for my grandmothers washing to finish at the laundry in st kilda, australia as a young kid.
