Open Monumentendag, 56 panden in Amsterdam / 020 5524853 / www.openmonumentendag.nl
For the yearly heritage days Amsterdam opens its doors, themed ‘Modern Monuments’.

Work by the founders of modern architecture like Berlage, Rietveld and Duiker, which has left a distinctive mark on the city, is open to the public view indoors. In the city’s borough of Oud-Zuid (old south) a boat trip has been organised especially for this occasion, so all buildings can also be visited from the water. Information, tours and the programme are available through the Amsterdam’s public library, OBA, council offices, Amsterdams Uitburo and Tourist Information offices (VVV).
