The Tolhuistuin (literary: tollbooth garden, due to the location's history) is accessible to all audiences and has numerous arts on show: music, theatre, visual arts, media, literature, dance and club nights. The venue consists of a grand terrace at the IJ, three theatres and concert stages, two exhibit spaces, two dance studios, a restaurant, a park with monumental trees, a residency for international artists and a bunch of office spaces.
