May 5 Tablecloth at Mediamatic Fabriek

780,559 names of Amsterdam citizens are woven into the May 5 tablecloth by Maarten Baas. Come to Mediamatic Fabriek this weekend and find your own name on the 60m long tablecloth. Saturday we're closing off with free expired wine and an acoustic Mind Igloo-concert of The Don't Touch My Croque-Monsieurs. Please RSVP here.

The May 5 tablecloth is specially designed for the Vrijheidsmaaltijd (Liberty Meal). This new tradition encourages all citizens 0f Amsterdam to eat together with family, friends or neighbors. The tablecloth is on view at Mediamatic Fabriek this weekend, before it will be included in the collection of the Amsterdam Museum.

Mediamatic Fabriek is open on Saturday May 5 from 14.00. The concert by The Don't Touch My Croque-Monsieurs starts at 18.00. On Sunday May 6 we're open from 14.00 till 18.00. Entrance fee is 2,50.
