Spring Cleaning
Iranian style
"I realize that slowly I have become the representative of my country to all my friends in the Netherlands. Therefore I invited a group of 11 artists to join my project, most of them are none Iranians and all Gastarbeiders except for one… I asked them to find out how they could relate to Iran, Iranian culture and art ?"
The title ‘Spring Cleaning’ referred to the Persian tradition of preparations for the New Year, the start of the spring.

During this afternoon, the conclusions of a research about Persian dance in a form of live happening were presented. The visitors were directed to pose in front of the camera a selection of movements with the assistance of storytelling, tools and costumes designed especially for the event.
