I've been working as a web, graphic and interaction designer, artist, researcher, photographer, project manager, software developer, hacker, initiator & cooking expert..

Sara is a content-driven designer with a background in design and web-based documentary-projects. Her work ranges from storytelling to visualisation and concept development for complex (collection) systems for cultural institutions and museums.

After her study at the Design Academy Eindhoven and Emily Carr (Vancouver), she traveled around the world to give workshops, build software, photograph cities and present audiovisual projects on (new) media festivals around the world. From Sao Paulo, Helsinki, Venice and Berlin to Wellington, Denver, Rio de Janeiro, Riga and Novi Sad.

In the last few years she concentrated herself - next to her MA in photography and design (Sandberg Institute) - on online & offline presentations of complex museum collections. The online museum for the Dutch writer Hella Haasse was the start, soon followed by the National Glasmuseum in Leerdam (online 2010).

TVisionarium Open City was her most current project; an installation about a century of urbanisation in which documentaries, reports, and interviews are presented in innovative fashion and in three dimensions shown in the Zuiderkerk in Amsterdam. The 360º projection - developed in collaboration with the Icinema institute in Sydney - was an initiative of the VPRO, the Institute of Image and Sound, the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam and the International Architecture Biennale in Rotterdam.
