The Antwerp-based artist Kate Mayne works primarily in painting. Her work is impressionistic. She works from photographs she takes during her daily life or travels which she uses to construct a personal sense of time and place in a way that emphasises the personal connections and responses to the sights and experiences that have prompted the paintings.
