Martin Butler's The Girlfriend Experience was staged at the European Media Art Festival in Osnabruck, Germany (read more on EMAF website). The Girlfriend Experience attracted worldwide attention when it was presented for the first time at Mediamatic in January 2007.

From 23 to 26 april players could use Skype to log in at: girlfriend.mediamatic.net

Girlfriend Experience, back online bij EMAF - 23 - 27 april 2008: Tijdens het European Media Art Festival in Osnabruck, Duitsland, wordt Martin Butler's multiplayer spel The Girlfriend Experience opnieuw uitgevoerd. The Girlfriend Experience trok wereldwijde aandacht toen het voor het eerst werd gespeeld bij Mediamatic in 1007. Via Skype communiceren bezoekers ter plekke, of waar dan ook ter wereld, met de vier avatars van vlees en bloed. Hier een scene waarbij de avatars opdracht krijgen om symbolen te tekenen op hun eigen lijf. Jans Possel
