Workshop: Facial Weaponization Suite

Tuesday April 1. 10.00 - 17.00.

In this workshop with Zach Blas, mask-making is explored as a queer and feminist resistant practice. Emerging forms of biometric facial recognition are being used to determine sexual preference. We will discuss the social and political impact of these technologies as well as imperceptible revolt tactics. Then, we'll scan the faces of the participants and make a 'collective mask' based on this data: biometrics is turned against itself.
