Friday March 18. Workshops, Mini-Expo, Food and Talks

On Friday March 18, Transnatural and Mediamatic are teaming up for another edition of Playing Life - Biotalk, where emerging bio-artists and scientists are invited to showcase their work. Tonight we will investigate the possibilities of 3D printing with living tissue, research textiles made from algae, envision micro-organisms as image makers, and create alternative leather from fish waste.

Playing Life at Transnatural

The Playing Life exhibition opened on 26 September and features a combination of recent developments in biotechnology, interspersed with future concepts and projects that are influenced by craft. The exhibition runs until April 15 2016 at the Transnatural Gallery.

April 2 - Masterclass: Prototyping Bodies with Agi Haines
How will environmental pressures and evolution affect the human body? Join in the masterclass with bio-artist Agi Haines and prototype the future ‘you.’ Full day program, including casting materials, coffee and tea.
