Professor of Women's Studies at Emory University.
Her work explores how biology, psychoanalysis and evolutionary theory can be used to break new ground for feminist theory. Currently she is engaged in a feminist analysis of biomedical theories of depression (“Gut Feminism”); and she has recently completed a project on the role of affect in the early years of artificial intelligence.
