Amsterdam label Beat Dimensions presents one night full of electronica, abstract hiphop and experimental beats. Local heroes Aardvarck and Cinnaman are followed by Take from Los Angeles, who are championed by such artists as Daedelus (Ninja Tune) and Frosty (Dublab). His set links perfectly with the instrumental hip-hop of Mike Slott, who was part of Heralds of Change with Hudson Mohawke. From the same school comes Dimlite: ‘bruised MPC beats sinking into quicksand synths, videogame bleeps, and other choppy rhythmic patterns’ (XLR8).
