Her work contains a variety of disciplines, mainly installations that integrate video work as well as objects, photographs and text. Tee uses autobiographic material in her work. For example, in her exhibition Down the Chimney in the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam she displayed a video based on stories that her closest family members never wanted to tell her. Tee sent her parents and sister a tape recorder with the request to fill a 60-minute tape with the stories they usually keep to themselves. She used the material for the script of the video that was later partly performed by the family members themselves.

She has also showed her work at Het Domein, Sittard and also in the USA, Germany, Italy, Austria and China.
