Marjolijn Drenth von Februar

Author and Philosopher

Using the pseudonym M.Februari,

philosopher, art historian and lawyer Marjolijn Drenth von Februar made her writing debut in 1989 with the novel De zonen van het uitzicht. The novel won the Multatuli Prize in 1990. Marjolijn Drenth then prepares a thesis on the significance of ethical utilitarianism for welfare economics. A novel shines through in the philosophical chapters of this thesis.

She now teaches philosophy at the Catholic University Brabant inTilburg and is a regular columnist for several newspapers.
