Me and My Dawg

fictional narrative mixed documentary

Me and My Dawg is a documentary / fiction / spoken words that will look at the relationships between people and their pet Staffordshire terrier that is prevalent amongst our youth culture. I would like to explore why this has become such a growing trend over recent years and examine some of the emotional attachments.

an informative piece aimed at a young audience but also may appeal to those who are interested in art-based film projects.

Notes:

I would like to explore mixed and new media so as to enable the work to be exhibited outside of the straightforward one screen linear. People’s thinking, vision and examination is now better equipped, through new technology, to assimilate information on several levels that are not connected to one layer.

It would be interesting to create a documentary that informs the audience in a way that involve them playing a role and the Internet seems a good place to demonstrate this. I would also like to look at how the final project could possibly be projected to an outdoor transient audience
