Liberty City Gift Shop (2010)-
Temporary gift shop inspired by both the museum shop and the cheap-ass discount store. The shop was part of the Liberty City exhibition at Amsterdam's Central Station and offered all kinds of objects and tools that have been of great importance to specific historical freedom struggles in The Netherlands.
PechaKucha Night Amsterdam (2007-now)-
PechaKucha Night was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world, inspiring creatives worldwide. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of "chit chat", it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It's a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace. We organize the PechaKucha Night Amsterdam series. In collaboration with HUNK-design, Studio Jonmar van Vlijmen, 11, Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst, BeamSystems, ExperimentaDesign Festival, Mediamatic, Tolhuistuin.
