Maya Saikali is the Art Director of Waqif Art Center in Doha, Qatar and is involved through this institution in many activities that promote Middle Eastern Art, artists, designers and culture. Maya Saikali was born in Beirut. She holds a Bachelor degree in Graphic Design from the American University of Beirut and a Masters Degree in Humanitarian Design and Sustainable Living from the Design Academy in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
