RE:HAB

rotterdamse museumnacht

We are addicts, dependent on internet, unable to quit being in touch, along with obsessive updating, downloading, altering profiles, without experiencing the adverse effects. We are petrified to miss something, just anything, what the others will attend, see, hear; we seem to cease to exist when we are not online.
The pressure of staying in touch is overpowering. Hooked up on the Internet life-support system, we fail to notice that our ability to 'breathe' independently atrophy. Can you recall what being self-sufficient feels like? On the 7th of March you will be able to set the first step to regainig your self-sufficiency. The skilled and caring professionals will escort you through the tough journey from 'cold turkey' to reconnection with your 'self'.
So, come to BLAAK10 RE:HAB clinic to disconnect, slow down, and adjust your pace to the rhythm of your own heartbeat.

Concept+Setting: students WdKA
Performance: Bojana Panevska

all those addictions are just e-egotism

I am going to hazard this: being 'online' starts with the eg0 medium, the identity, and then appropriates things like the web and social networking, et al. Take away Facebook, the web, and the ego remains, hunting for the next medium, its next extension, reflection.

Self-sufficiency would be an unmediated state, not necessarily offline states.

What is the unmediated state?
