SKI LIFT is a ready made installation proposed for Amsterdam or any other city
The SKI LIFT project will install a custom-made chair lift in a suitable
city centre location, introducing a new dimension in off-street transport for pedestrians. A 400m spectacle of riveted steel and cable, the curious attraction and serious attempt to reinterpret space, architecture and mobility in the urban environment.

Can SKI LIFT be a step forward in the evolution of urban passenger transport?

The installation will operate on commercial basis as a public chair lift
offering an unique platform for a range of the marvellous cultural activities.
Refined for use in urban context, it could offer planers and passengers alike a fresh perspective with an
eye-opening journey above street level.

Can the engineering limits be pushed
To enable SKI LIFT to really interact with the architecture, to interpret concrete, brick and glass in a new way?

A PERFORMANCE SPACE IN PERPETUAL MOTION

On an operational level, SKI LIFT
intends to encourage creative interaction and participation building opportunities for theater and choreography, commissioned arts,
catwalk fashion, new media projects,
experimental interactions…
It will function as unique performance space offering ongoing artistic and curatorial possibilities.
