Man You Factor (The Manufactoring)

This image is from the first of a three part photographic series that imparts the (1) manufacturing, (2) display and (3) vivification of 'the' male in the form of a statue. The second and third portions of the 'statue(s)' are presented in social spheres.

Last August (2010) in Berlin, I began a project, starting off with photographs, regarding the manufacturing, use, and placement of a statue (the statuesque male form as a ubiquitous male).

I recently found a possible way to continue working on the 'Manufacturing' aspect of the project by having entered a contest offered by H&M, inadvertently having a possible "sponsorship", yet considering that I am chosen as one of the Five finalists. All five finalists are the main prize winners. One of the prizes is to have the contestants' 'art' printed on "limited" mass produced tee shirts.

In order to become a finalist, I had to go through a public voting phase, and this requires as many votes as possible in order to be within the required top 25 selected artists, who will then be, in contention for becoming a finalist. On May 25 at 12:01 am (eastern standard time) I fell into the top 25 votes (as the contest ended on this date and time)

The process is still on-going.
