Maker of Websites (graphic designer)

Simple designs, for complex websites

Mediamatic Lab is looking for a designer who is good at simple designs for complex websites. Starting date 1st September 2008, or earlier if possible.

Mediamatic Lab

Mediamatic Lab makes many social web environments which are fairly complex. Mostly they are communities with a cultural or social undertone. We build them ourselves with anyMeta, a technical framework with which you can quickly build wonderful things.

Examples of recent projects are: bidnetwork.org, geheugenvanalmere.nl en mediamatic.net. You'll find all our projects on www.mediamatic.nl.

We often work together with the sisterorganisation Mediamatic Foundation whose website we also develop. That exchange makes working for Mediamatic extra inspiring and varied.

We want to hire ..

a visually oriented maker who has as many as possible of the following characteristics:
- An education in visual communication at an academy of arts or Industrial Design
- Some years of experience with making database based websites
- Strong affinity for typography
- Strong affinity for interaction and information organization
- Ability to structure workprocessess and the ambition to plan projects
- Affinity with social and cultural objectives of projects
- Nice extrovert teamworker
