Featuring Tiffany Holmes, Beatriz da Costa, Michael Mandiberg, Yolande Harris, Esther Polak and Oorbeek.</p><p>How can artists translate everyday information visually or sonically? What are innovative artists and designers doing to promote conservation of resources using innovative technology and creative thinking? How can art make us more aware of the kilowatts we consume or the carbon we emit? Can artists significantly inspire observers to be more environmentally sensitive by giving information a particular form or sound? Furthermore, can art increase our ability to analyze and relate spiritually and emotionally to the natural world we live in?</p>
<p>These questions and many more were addressed by the speakers.</p>

Met Tiffany Holmes, Beatriz da Costa, Michael Mandiberg, Yolande Harris, Esther Polak en Oorbeek.</p><p>Kan een combinatie tussen kunst en technologie bijdragen aan het vinden van wezenlijke oplossingen voor de milieuproblematiek?</p>
<p>Hoe kan een kunstenaar alledaagse informatie naar visueel of auditief werk vertalen? Wat kunnen kunstenaars en ontwerpers door middel van innovatieve technieken en creatieve denkprocessen doen om energiebesparing te promoten? Hoe kan kunst ons bewust maken van het aantal kilowatts dat we gebruiken, of de hoeveelheid CO2 die we uitstoten? Kunnen kunstenaars anderen daadwerkelijk inspireren, via een bepaalde vorm of geluid, milieubewuster te zijn? En: kan kunst ons bewust maken van onze natuurlijke omgeving, op analytisch, spiritueel en emotioneel vlak?</p>
<p>Op dit soort vragen gaven de sprekers van deze avond een antwoord.</p>
