<p>The Upcycle Yourself Workshop taught the kids how to make a whole new outfit out of secondhand clothing. Everyone could participate and there were no age boundaries because Andrea Crews made sure all techniques were simple and efficient. The students were able to show off their outfits on the catwalk and on the ikcams!</p>
<p>A mountain of second-hand clothing, work tables, sewing machines, sewing kits, tailor's dummy's and lots of haberdashery made sure all the kids had enough material to get going. They had the choice to either make the clothes themselves or let the Andrea Crews trainers make their outfit. </p>

<p>The Andrea Crews collective led the workshops themselves on July 19, 23 and 26. All later dates of the workshops were led by young fashion designers from Amsterdam, The Hague and Arnhem.</p>Upcycle yourself workshopThis time it was up to the kids<p>Anders dan de andere Upcycle Yourself workshops, kregen dit keer een groep leerlingen van basisschool de BOE uit Amsterdam de kans om zich te upcyclen!</p><h2>Climb Mount Vintage</h2>
<p>De Upcycle Yourself Workshop leerde de kinderen een hele nieuwe outfit te maken uit tweedehands kleding. Andrea Crews zorgde ervoor dat de technieken simpel en efficient waren, dit zorgde voor verbluffende resultaten. Deze waren niet alleen goed te zien op de catwalk waar de kinderen de outfits konden tonen, maar ook op de Ikcam foto's.</p>
<p>Een berg tweedehandskleding (gesponsord door het Leger des Heils ReShare), werktafels, naaimachines, naald en draad, paspoppen en een heleboel knoopjes, draad, scharen en andere handige spullen zorgden ervoor alle leerlingen genoeg materiaal hadden om aan de slag te gaan. Iedereen had de keuze om zelf de kleren te maken, of de Andrea Crews trainers er mee aan de slag te laten.</p>
