They often relate to music and are in fact structured like musical patterns. The results of his works are cityscapes and portraits, recorded with a video camera. Due to his numerous voyages (in Asia and Europe) his work builds up to a kaleidoscope of images and sounds of people and urban surroundings.

Using computers combined with self-designed hardware and software, Geert Mul composes and presents works from recorded video material. He has created many video shows and worked as veejay (especially in Holland and Italy) and has made television and radio appearances on Veronica (Dutch national broadcast station) with the experimental documentary Chemistry about the techno/House club The Chemistry Amsterdam, on Rijnmond TV, on the Dutch National Radio Station City at night and on NPS and Veronica VJ Cut-Up, among others. He received the Rotterdam Award 1998 New Media.
