Traveas** - Get itinerary updates on your cell

I love these new, still rare, services that really make my business life easier. Most of them serve me in my nomadic needs as a professional, and all of them are mobile.
Traveas' TravelTracker automatically provides me with immediate and relevant information concerning flights, directly in my mobile phone.
All changes are sent via SMS as soon as they occur. For example delays or terminal and gate changes. The service works globally, no matter where I'm going or which airline I'm flying with.

More on Belysio

I've just guest blogged an extensive review of the new mobile Belysio app on their company weblog.

Bias: my company (Result) is helping Belysio to expand through channels and geographies. But I swear I've tried to be objective;-!

Belysio - Social Radar & Geo LifeJournal on your Cell

Send me your phone number (bob[at]result.com) if you want an invite to start using the coolest mobile app that I've ever seen.

Imagine visiting another city, and seeing one of the people in your phone's address book suddenly popping up in your Belysio app - ready for a meet-up somewhere nearby. Or tracking where your kids are hanging out.

All you need is a regular, modern cell phone with web access. Belysio is the first location based service that doesn't require geo positioning technology. They simply compiled a database with all known phone masts in the world, and through that you can, if you want to, automatically let everybody know where you are.
Belysio is a Social Radar and a Geo Journal in one, showing you where your friends are, and what they're doing. In other words, it's the very first simple tool that demonstrates the advantages of "location" as an extra layer to your communications, offering you a delicious sense of "presence" and "proximity" regarding the friends, family members and business contacts in your phone's address book.
Belysio offers many extras: address book sync'ing, instant messaging, photo album, location based google & wiki search, integration of your social networks, and loads of cool features to come!

Community 2.0 - Reality check

It may be interesting to analyze what makes online communities tick from a sociological or an entrepreneurial point of view, but let's keep in mind that for 98.2% of the users it's just crude emotion a/o entertainment.
