Het was een avond over milieubewustwording door visualisatie van energieverbruik en CO2 footprint. Met Tiffany Holmes, Beatriz da Costa, Michael Mandiberg, Yolande Harris, Esther Polak en Oorbeek.
Kunst en Techniek vs. het Milieu
Kan een combinatie tussen kunst en technologie bijdragen aan het vinden van wezenlijke oplossingen voor de milieuproblematiek?
Hoe kan een kunstenaar alledaagse informatie naar visueel of auditief werk vertalen? Wat kunnen kunstenaars en ontwerpers door middel van innovatieve technieken en creatieve denkprocessen doen om energiebesparing te promoten? Hoe kan kunst ons bewust maken van het aantal kilowatts dat we gebruiken, of de hoeveelheid CO2 die we uitstoten? Kunnen kunstenaars anderen daadwerkelijk inspireren, via een bepaalde vorm of geluid, milieubewuster te zijn? En: kan kunst ons bewust maken van onze natuurlijke omgeving, op analytisch, spiritueel en emotioneel vlak?
Op dit soort vragen probeerden de sprekers van deze avond een antwoord te formuleren.
