With the project WatSpinoza? Mediamatic wanted to advocate the public discussion by asking difficult and controversial questions in public. Questions that are based on the thoughts of the philosopher Spinoza. Everybody could respond via sms, via website www.watspinoza.nl and on the blackboards in the exhibition.
The questions, seemingly innocent panoramas of religious conflict zones and re-enactment in Re:Parallax en Clown Re-Torture were central points of the exhibition. Read more...
The exhibition was open from May 8th to June 28th 2009. An announcement about the screening of Zhana Ivanova's film Re:Parallax will follow soon. On the WatSpinoza? website you can still participate in the discussions.
