De afgelopen zes weken stond de rijke cultuur van Groenland centraal bij Mediamatic. Na kookcursussen, fur-bikini workshops, kaffemiks en gesprekken met bewoners is het nu tijd voor een feestelijke afsluiting met muziek van Groenlandse bodem. Zaterdag 27 februari besluiten we dan ook op gepaste wijze onze Bardot Proviant Klub met twee zeer speciale gasten uit Groenland. Upcoming Singer-songwriter Nive Nielsen (GR) en Rapper Peand el (GR) spelen live in de Mediamatic bank. Je laatste kans op 'Inuit music' van de nieuwe generatie Groenlanders.

Programma

De succesvolle singer-songwriter Nive Nielsen, een Inuk uit Groenland zal als eerste de spits afbijten. Haar debuutalbum 'Nive Sings' schreef ze tijdens het toeren. Sinds de release is zij te vinden op meerdere indie en folklore podia in Europa en Noord-Amerika. Zo ook op EuroSonic.

Peand el, ook uit Groenland, is een jonge rapper en producer. Hij heeft twee albums op zijn naam staan en rapt over het hedendaagse Groenland. Met zijn nummers beschrijft hij de soms harde realiteit voor jonge Groenlanders en stelt hij belangrijke thema's aan de kaak, die in het Groenland van nu spelen.

Ter alsluiting zal DJ Katja 'Inuit Polar Bear' Novi eskimo beats tot in de vroege uurtjes draaien.
