Emrich is a scientist and clinician striving to integrate the humanities and neurobiological foundations of his discipline and to draw conclusions for individual therapy and social designs.
Besides his work as Professor of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Medical University of Hannover 1992-2008, he held teaching assignments at various humanities departments.
