Character design in new media

28 Oct 2004
30 Oct 2004

A conference to get to know the characters so endlessly depicted in graffiti, animation and other arts. Character design is an important in depth part of all narrative art, and the emphasis of this conference is NOT on the limits of style or format, but on the shared dedication to a character-driven language.

Lectures, panels and workshops will provide in-depth examination of the wonderful world of character design and offer you the opportunity to reappraise your own work in the context of a global movement.

Style-setting yet stylistically diverse artists and designers will talk about the meaning of characters in their work, provide insights into their production methods and engage in open discussion rounds.
