For Vormann, holes in old walls aren’t eyesores but opportunities to add colour to the city. Why should you have to repair a building using the material it was made out of? Vormann found Lego to be the perfect solution for fixing cracks, holes and crumbling corners. He fills them with the plastic bricks, calling the practice Dispatchwork. Vormann has already left a colourful trail of repairs in Berlin; Bocchignano, Italy; and Tel Aviv, and now he’s coming to Amsterdam!

To attend this unique 'dispatch session' and take part in the building activities, sign up by Monday 15 June at info@platform21.com.

The afternoon will begin with a presentation in English by Jan Vormann at Arcam on Prins Hendrikkade in Amsterdam. Then everyone will head out into the city with a load of Lego for a repair mission.

Admission: €15 (€10 students), including Lego. Ages 12 and up.
Friday 19 June, 14:00–17:00
Location: Arcam, Prins Hendrikkade 600, 1011 VX Amsterdam, www.arcam.nl
