Support for AAP-Lab

In a few years time analogue photography has been reduced to a niche market. Hence analogue printing has become a precarious business. What is important is that the traditional, manual printing technique is of such high quality, it would be a great shame to lose it.

With the exhibition Digital? Analogue! Huis Marseille has put the analogue prints by AAP-Lab in the spotlight. The choice of master printer Peter Svenson lies in his distinguishing eye for the possibilities of a negative and his experimental methods.

Auction

Sixty-five photographers have donated one or more photographs - based on their respect for the work of Svenson, these are definitely not the least of pictures. On the contrary. Under the auspices of Christie's, 85 works will be auctioned on Saturday, February 12 (from 4PM to 6PM) in the concert hall of the Felix Meritis Centre in Amsterdam.

In addition to beautiful prints by photographers such as Rineke Dijkstra, Sigurdur Gudmundsson, Ni Haifeng, Jacqueline Hassink, Scarlett Hooft Graafland, Dana Lixenberg, Liza May Post, Han Singels and Marijke van Warmerdam, this exhibition and auction provides an initial insight in the very talented, young generation of photographers that have emerged here in the Netherlands.

The auction is open to all and involves no obligation. General auction information, an absentee bid form and the auction catalogue can be found at Huis Marseille or online via: the website.
