The traditional ways of networking are not working. Clouds Festival connects young professionals and students from the fashion, art and music industries in a low-key, fun environment. You can join a creative workshop, do some shopping, take a look at art and design created by talented students or just have a drink, mingle and enjoy the music.
Creative workshops
So what type of creative workshops can you sign up for? FOAM will be doing a remake workshop, where you can reenact a iconic photo in your own way. Marieke Franken will be giving a creative thinking workshop. You may think you have mastered creative thinking through the years, well believe me you will be surprised on how much more you can get out of creative thinking. Last but certainly not least Thekla Ahrens and Hans Pieterse will be giving a book binding workshop. Create your own little booklet, see the different ways of bookbinding while getting some pointers on how to do it properly yourself.
Music
You can’t have a festival without music right?, so we have experimental electronic pop artist Lynes, who will be doing an acoustic set specially for Clouds Festival. Do you want to try something new? Clouds Festival has a silent disco made possible by SilentDJ.com. Volumetric will bringing in the electro pop, while Joel Baaten will give you a sweet mix of house, soul and disco. Yes we do expect you to go crazy with your headphones on.
Food
Getting hungry? Stukkie Beter will be selling all the deliciousness you need. After your tummy is full again, go and create your very own print with the old-school printing press from Grafisch Werkcentrum Amsterdam. Printing used to be an art form and GWA is bringing that art to Clouds Festival.
FashionUnited
Our friends at FashionUnited will be attending with their jobs and internship stand. We all know the struggle of finding that perfect job or internship, let FashionUnited make it easier for you. FashionUnited will also be giving a talk about how to make it in fashion.
Need just one more push to get you at Clouds? There will be a inspiring light installation and exposition showcasing the young and talented in illustration, photography and design, made possible by Printerette.
