Are all lives equal?

Live Performance by Spela Petric. Sat. 16 July 10:00 - 22:00

Soot-o-mat, by Špela Petric (SI), can be seen as an ‘unsuccessful’ hybrid between the technological and biological. The installation, currently on show at Mediamatic, questions the notion of equality between living organisms by using mussels as a means for creating decorative patterns. Coming Saturday you will have the chance to meet the artist and see the installation in action. Over the course of 12 hours Špela will create two new graph-lampshades by dissecting and electro-stimulating mussels within the miserable machine.

Walk-in between 10:00 - 22:00 at Mediamatic's Haeckel Room.
