Slow Beauty Therapy: Face or Body

with Marina Jardim

Every day we are tempted to keep up with the high pace of our society and look for quick fixes to care for our body. That’s not always a sustainable solution, though. What if we slow down our body care routine and look at it from a more holistic perspective? In this workshop, you will learn how to develop a more conscious skincare routineYou’ll also get to make your own slow beauty body or face scrub.

Slow Beauty workshop - using seasonal ingredients - Justine Magnat-Biermé

Slow Beauty

The concept of Slow Beauty is a counter-movement against the endlessly moving world and the cosmetic industry's invasive and immediate results. Slow Beauty encourages us to slow down, and observe our body's needs – from sleep to nutrition to skin care. It embraces sustainability by making conscious consumption choices, and by using ethically sourced plant-based ingredients and recyclable and reusable packaging.

What will you do

Marina will introduce you to the concept of Slow Beauty and use her cosmetics expertise to teach you the basics of formulating your own skincare products. You’ll then make your first Slow Beauty product from a formula that Marina developed specially for the workshop. You will leave with your own beauty product tool kit, a deliciously fragrant body or face scrub and the knowledge of how to restructure and personalise your beauty routine.
