Among this family we can find Hypericum perforatum , better known by its common name St. John' Wort. This plant has had great meanings and importance for superstition and witchcraft and its medicinal  properties are well known since at least the Graeco-Roman times. Externally it has been used to to aid wound healing, burns and sunburns. Currently, it is… Iines Råmark

Meet-a-Maker is a 30-minute session to have a one-on-one talk with artists currently working at Mediamatic. We are lucky to be inspired by the many artists who work and stay with us for exhibitions, residencies and workshops. We welcome you to meet them and be inspired as well!

About the artist

The natural world has always deeply fascinated Lynn, she is part of it and needs to respect it. She expresses this through teaching, writing, and being in green spaces.

Lynn's professional background is in science and special education, herbalism, permaculture, and nature education. Outside of paid work, she is involved in creating urban foraging sites and increasing food sovereignty.

During the past 25 years, she has studied herbalism in the UK (non-clinical Diploma in Herbal Medicine) and the Netherlands (Herbal Medicine HBO), Wise Woman herbalism, Permaculture and Permaculture Visions (PDC), and Horticultural Therapy.

In 2010, Lynn started Urban Herbology to help others learn about living in harmony with nature within cities through walks, workshops, and online courses. She also started the River of Herbs community gardening group in 2012 to help more people learn how to grow edible and medicinal plants for free.

Lynn speaks English.
