Leeds Market - The market in Leeds is one of it's architectural gems and not to be missed. Jon Wakeman

Though dominated by the performing arts institutions (Opera North/West Yorkshire Playhouse/Grand Theatre/etc.), there is a vibrant and active contemporary visual arts scene that at its best offers an open and progressive practice that seeks to build a strong community of engaged practitioners.

Often overlooked is Leeds' architecture as the city marketing dept does the hard sell on being a paradise for shoppers, but as the home of Burmantofts pottery there are ceramic gems to be spotted in the most unusual places.
