Gamification allows cultural institutions to promote and deepen their activities, resulting in enthusiastic visitors or clients. During this training you will learn how to implement the basics of gamification. With clear practical components, it serves as a guide to it's potential.

Gamification is the use of game design and mechanisms in non-game contexts and is a hot topic in many fields. When people are rewarded for user activity they tend to stay interested in your product or story. The creative industry is slowly embracing this movement.

Do you want to get started?

Enroll for the training on the 18th of January and 'gamify' two interesting cases.
Case one will be about reducing child obesity and the second case will be about releasing tension at work. Besides this hands-on experience, you will learn about other best practices and uses of gamification.

Trainers

Valerie Alloix is an experienced game developer with a passion for gamification. She has built games for various platforms and is currently focused on open data, gamification and serious games.

Thijs de Vries is a graphic and interaction designer, developer, trainer, public speaker and thinktank focusing on engagement design and serious gaming. With his company Creative Seeds he works on various gamification uses.

Practical

The training will take place in our office HQ in the Duintjer CS building at Vijzelstraat 72, 3rd floor. The training is from 10.00 till 17.30 with drinks afterwards to share some ideas and thoughts.
