Julia Löffler is a visual designer based in Hamburg. Her work explores and visualizes seemingly everyday phenomena as a means of critically reflecting on socio-political contexts. Alongside her independent artistic practice, she works as a communication designer.

From January 15th 2026 onwards, artist Julia Löffler will showcase her work Soft Sabotage.

Found at Mediamatic's restroom, Soft Sabotage focuses on soap as a tool of interference. When it enters the wastewater system, soap disrupts the clarity of the data, transforming what could be read as evidence into noise. A familiar, personal object moves through a public infrastructure, blurring the boundary between care and control.
