He makes moving video projections and special projects for public spaces

He studied at the Chicago Art Institute (1994), the Gerrit Rietveld Academy (Amsterdam, 1991 – 1996) and at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten (Amsterdam, 2001-2002).

In his films and videos he is interested in the disconnection of the camera from the eye, to create an awareness of our ways of looking.

In his work in public spaces he proposes possibilities for art to infiltrate daily life in a casual way, without turning the work into a monument.

In 2002 he showed at Manifesta 4 (Frankfurt). In 2003 he was awarded second prize in the Film & Video category of the Prix de Rome. In addition to numerous Dutch cities, he has exhibited in Berlin, Paris and Tokyo. In September 2003 he was received in residence at the Dutch Cultural Centre in Jakarta.
