Computer and media art often whirls around in a weave of self analytical paralysis, with their paradoxal future retrospection and conceptual intangibility. However, once a few of the heavyweights of the field get together for a decent brew of coding, breaking and soldering, they and their surroundings get caught up in a flow that is all real, there and dare I say happening. Do not miss.

Sonic Acts is divided into a conference, an exhibition and a series of live acts and film.

Speakers at the conference include Jasia Reichardt (curator of Cybernetic Serendipity), Stephen Wilson (author of the encyclopedic Information Arts, Intersectios of Art, Science and Technology), Ben Fry (artist and one of the developers of the programming environment Proce55ing), Manfred Mohr (one of the pioneers of computer art), Andreas Broeckmann (director of the Berlin based Transmediale) and John Oswald (sound artist and creator of Plunderphonics).

Part of the lives acts were curated by Jace Clayton (DJ/rupture), and will include The Bug feat. Ras B, Aaron Spectre, Nettle, Planning To Rock, Ove Naxx, Doddodo, Gustav, DJ /rupture, Filastine, Hrvatski and Team Shadetek presents: Heavy Meckle feat. Matt Shadetek, Sheen, Jammer & Skepta.
