International musicians and ensembles such as the Arditti String Quartet, cello- player Arne Deforce and piano virtuoso Ralph van Raat play the beautiful, mystically coloured music of Jonathan Harvey. The Mortuos Plango installation of Jonathan Harvey & Visual Kitchen is on display.

The Italian trombonist Gianluca Petrella will play during the festival with the Duth guitarist Corrie van Binsbergen and South African saxophonist Sean Bergin. He also is going to perform with his own ten-piece Cosmic Band.

Besides concerts centred around Jonathan Harvey and Gianluca Petrella, soundsofmusic presents related adventurous performances by the dance group Club Guy & Roni and the musical super trio Biondini/Godard/Reijseger. Under the title Youngears, the festival offers a variety of shows including lunch concerts with ensembles of the Prins Claus Conservatorium and a film/ music performance for children by the French L’Effet Vapeur.
