The Nordic and Baltic Residency Network for Visual Artists

NIFCA's extensive network of residencies, open for all visual artists based in the Nordic and Baltic region, involves a wide range of highly diverse locations and opportunities. The network includes studios and artist apartments throughout the whole Nordic and Baltic region and provides artists with the possibility to explore the region, create new contacts and develop existing networks, participate in projects and activities at the various locations, produce and present their work, develop new ideas and collaborations.

How to apply:

All professional visual artists based in the Nordic and Baltic region are eligible to apply, including the following countries and regions: Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, Åland Islands.

The only restrictions are:

  • artists are eligible for a NIFCA residency within this program only once every two years
  • studios are usually not provided in one's country of residence
  • one should have a completed art education by the application deadline, i.e. students may not apply
